If you're on well water or a lab test shows genuinely high TDS—ZeroWater can be the right tool. Just budget for frequent filter replacements. It's a real solution, and it earns its place in that context.
If you haven't tested your water—start there. Testing is cheaper than the wrong filter, and it prevents year after year of paying for a solution to a problem you don't have.
One caveat from the honesty column: if your building has complex water issues—private well, industrial neighbors, unexplained contamination—don't rely on a pitcher filter at all. Call a water treatment professional. Pitchers are office conveniences, not treatment systems. That's true for every brand on this list.
